If anyone is still looking for an internship for this summer I just found
out that there is an opening for a vision person to work on panorama
stitching at Nokia Research Center - Palo Alto. If you're interested
email Kari Pulli (his email is below).

VCUI team
http://research.nokia.com/research/labs/teams/visual_computing_and_user_interfaces
at NRC Palo Alto http://research.nokia.com/centers/palo-alto/ is seeking
one additional intern this summer. The duration should be at least 3
months, longer internship is also possible.

The internship concentrates in Mobile Computational Photography. One of
the topics we are actively working in is panorama capture, computation,
visualization, and editing on a mobile phone, see for instance
http://graphics.stanford.edu/papers/viewfinderalignment/ which is a result
included in the current work.

We are looking for a grad student in CS or a closely related field, who is
a strong C++ programmer, and has experience / interest in Computational
Photography. One of the skills to have or learn during the internship is
OpenGL ES 2.0 programming, that is, shaders on cell phones, for
accelerating image processing tasks. Some GUI programming skills would be
useful, we are using Qt http://www.qtsoftware.com/.

Please send inquiries about this position to kari.pulli at nokia.com and cc:
sonia.kim at nokia.com.

Thanks,

Kari
