Yes, the zCam (Microsoft purportedly bought its creator company
Israel-based 3DV Systems -

impressed audiences at the last two SIGGRAPHs.
I was very impressed at the speed and accuracy of the
3D scene capturing (2-5 meters away from the camera).

3DVs website however does not mention Microsoft (yet?) and
its Press section ends with articles from January 2008.
Interesting to see how this will play out.
