[4eyes] Lab Visit

There's (yet) another event that I'd like to announce as well: On Thursday,
January 15th (a week from tomorrow), a group of high school seniors from
Laguna Blanca (a local private school in Hope Ranch) are visiting from
9:45-11:45am. These students are part of a senior science seminar, so they
are likely to be bright students who might end up studying Computer Science
if we make a positive impact!

I will probably ask some of you to help out with this in the coming days.

	Matthew

Let me add to Cha's request support from me and Matthew:

These demo sessions help the visibility (and outreach
connections) of our lab considerably. They help keep us
thinking about real-world problems and applications. They
also provide great opportunities to practice effectively
communicating your work.

By the way, at the end of the month, we will have more demo
opportunities with high-impact visitors, because of the MAST
workshop being held here at UCSB (http://mast.mat.ucsb.edu/).

We would like to have an Open-House-like event associated
with MAST on Friday the 30th. The demos next week could be
a first step in that direction. Please volunteer.

We will have a lab meeting soon to talk about upcoming events
and get everyone an overview about everyone else's work.

Thanks a lot &
Cheers,

	Tobias
