We need someone to be in charge of this event - to make sure all the
machines in the lab are powered down on Saturday evening, September 13, and
powered back up on the next day. Would anyone like to volunteer to be in
charge of this?
We need one person for the trailer and one for the FogLab.
Thanks,
Matthew

Re: Campus Wide Electrical Outage - Sunday, September 14, 2008
As part of UCSB's Electrical Infrastructure Renewal Project, on
Sunday, September 14 at midnight, Southern California Edison will be
cutting electrical power to the campus in order to replace equipment.
The outage will have duration of up to 18 hours. Electrical power is
expected to be restored to the campus by 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Campus personnel are advised to turn off all electrical equipment
when leaving work on Friday, September 12. Special attention should
be given to refrigerators -- please ensure all items have been
removed and the refrigerator has been defrosted and wiped down.
Existing building emergency generators will operate during the
electrical outage. FM personnel will be on site to ensure the
generators have started and address any issues that may arise. In
case of an emergency, you may call David McHale on his cell phone at
698-3078.
For information on the electrical outage on Sunday, there will be a
recorded message available at 893-2800. This information will be
updated every two hours.
This electrical outage will mark the end of UCSB's Electrical
Infrastructure Renewal Project. I would like to thank you in advance
for your patience and understanding.
