<br>As part of UCSB's Electrical Infrastructure Renewal Project, on<br>Sunday, September 14 at midnight, Southern California Edison will be<br>cutting electrical power to the campus in order to replace equipment.<br>The outage will have duration of up to 18 hours. Electrical power is<br>
expected to be restored to the campus by 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.<br><br>Campus personnel are advised to turn off all electrical equipment<br>when leaving work on Friday, September 12. Special attention should<br>be given to refrigerators -- please ensure all items have been<br>
removed and the refrigerator has been defrosted and wiped down.<br><br>Existing building emergency generators will operate during the<br>electrical outage. FM personnel will be on site to ensure the<br>generators have started and address any issues that may arise. In<br>
case of an emergency, you may call David McHale on his cell phone at<br>698-3078.<br><br>For information on the electrical outage on Sunday, there will be a<br>recorded message available at 893-2800. This information will be<br>
updated every two hours.<br><br>This electrical outage will mark the end of UCSB's Electrical<br>Infrastructure Renewal Project. I would like to thank you in advance<br>for your patience and understanding.<br><br><br>
